[Beauty] Eyelash Extension

Went to Far East Plaza with Kaiyin and ended up doing eyelash extension.

The shop we patronized is located on the 3rd floor (the most pinkish hair/eyelash extension shop) and they advertise through Kaykay so just quote 'kaykay', you will get 5 dollars off. So instead of $50, we paid $45 each. We told them that we wanna have 'kaykay' type and they instantly knew what we wanted.. lol.. We chose #10 instead of #8 as suggested by the beautician. I guess the number is just the length of the lashes i.e. #8= 8mm; #10= 10mm and so on...

Before extension

 After Extension

Please ignore the swollen eye bag as the beautician just peeled off the tape she used to cover my eye bag in case the glue they used to 'plant' the eye lashes smear over my face. It's SUPER pain when they peel off the tape. But I think there's a very strong '我爱美不要命' spirit in me so yea.. I don't mind doing it again.. =x

It's said that it can last for 1 month but known as a clumsy girl, the extension might accompany me for 2 to 3 weeks at most =x But looking at the bright side, I don't have the habit of rubbing my eyes so hopefully it can last a biiiit longer **fingers crossed**I guess the best part of getting extension is that I do not need to wake up early to apply my eye makeup for quite some time =) And my colleagues said it looks natural so I'm quite satisfied with their service <3 I shall review it after a month to see if I wanna go back for another round of extension =P

Ends this post with an random/outdated OOTD ::
(Please pretend that you didn't see the round face and gigantic tights. TYVM.)
Floral jacket (Lowry Farm)
Leather skater skirt (MDS)
Multi-colour clutch (Aldo)
Sneakers (Converse)
Necklace (Random booth, Tampines)
Watch (Casio, Taiwan)

[Life] style, snap and WIN

I'm so happy these days. Although I said goodbye to all the kids, my life has been great! =D I'm going to start work soon (like TOMORROW!? =S think I'll miss my super loooooong 'holiday'). AND the best thing that happened this month (other than getting a job) was that I won a competition! Yes! FIRST PRIZE! Being a mediocre student during my school time, I'd never won any competition (individually) before. And now, I actually won! I'm so LUCKY! =D Now, I can get Samsung S4, the dress from Forever New, the cardigan from Dip Drops, the accessories from Diva, the heels from Topshop, the fashion magazines from Kinokuniya, the cosmetics from Etude House, etc.......The list goes on and on and on... But $800 can't buy that much, right? o.O Anyway, I'm still very happy and like what my mum said, I must think carefully before spending using the vouchers =D

You must be wondering what kind of competition, right? Style, Snap & Win? o.O Haha.. It's not related to what I studied for sure=x It's actually a design competition by Tampines 1, whereby you're given a template to design clothes for paper doll. The details can be found here. I took out all my scrapbooking and d.i.y. materials i.e. from stickers to chain to beads to charm, to fill in the template and used nail polish to paint since I have no color pencils =x

The template::

Here are my designs::

Not sure why the organizer chose to display the 'golden dinner'. Personally, I like the 'carousel trip' ('coz I like the ballerina feel in the shoes la =x). Guess I need to work harder in designing! Fashion design course, wait for me~~

P/s:: I chanced upon one of the winner's FB page and her friends gave some negative comments on my designs. Although it's quite a blow (who won't be discouraged by negative comments, right? =.=) when I first read it, I think I should stay happy and not affected by others' comments since I can't control what others think and say, right? =) And I'm more worried excited over my first day of work, or perhaps how to dress nicely to work every single day =x

[Skincare] Laneige - part of Korea shopping loots =x

Other than Too Cool for School that I mentioned in previous post, another big part of my $$ went to...
A full Laneige set + 2 water sleeping pack! =x
Had been wanting to get a new set of skincare since a beautician told me SKII might be too mature for my skin and my Kose trial set was going to an end soon. This moisturizing series is just so famous and their ambassador, Song Hye Kyo's angelic face is just so convincing...So I'd planned to get these way before my trip (not impulse buy k!) as the price is much friendlier in Korea. I got all these (7 items in total) at around sgd 200. And I believe all these can last for at least 9 months =)

  1. Foam Cleanser - clean the face thoroughly to get rid of dirt and remaining makeup! I think this is the MOST important step; all essence apply afterwards would be a waste if your face is not clean (Imagine you pores are still full of your makeup.. ewww..)
  2. Power Essential Skin Refiner - the first step after cleaning my face.
  3. Balancing Emulsion - use after the skin refiner to enhance the effect.
  4. Time Freeze Essence- I realised I have some fine wrinkles!!! I am so pissed off with myself for not taking good care of my skin so I've got this Time Freeze Essence. It better really freezes the time! Hope it will help me to look like a sweet 18 every year **cross fingers =P
  5. Water Bank Moisture Cream - Song Hye Kyo's favourite product among all Laneige products! Like what she said, it really keeps our face moisturised (I can still feel the cream after a good night sleep).
  6. The legendary water sleeping pack - apply before sleep. It works like a mask but it's more convenient 'coz you do not need to wash off after applying =)

It's advised to use either Time Freeze Essence or Water Sleeping pack as the last step of the regime so you won't over burden my face.
That's all for my beauty regime.
How about yours?

[Fashion] a BRIGHT spring

Warning: a very brief post to show off my new purchase =x

It's finally spring (in countries with 4 seasons)! That means no more thick, heavy clothes with long sleeves on shelves. It's time for the dull colors to be out of the racks for a while and let pastel and neon colors to SHINE!

The first thing I've got for my 'spring' (ok, the truth is I shop from time to time **guilty...) is this neon pink converse. It comes in yellow, orange, green and blue as well but of course I've to get the pink one since pink is my LOVE~
They have sizes for both kids and adults so you can have couple sneakers, mother-daughter sneaker, father-son sneaker, etc. haha... **lame...

An ordinary sneakers with an extraordinary colors =P

A close-up.
p/s: Do not get this if solid pink is what you're looking for.

Like what I've said, they have sizes for kids and adults. With my small feet, I've got kids size.. size 2 =.=|| I think the sales person disbelieved when I asked for size 2 (the biggest size for kids is 3) and surprised by the fact that I actually managed to 'squeeze' in and bought it.. hehe.. My tiny feet helped me to save 20 bucks! But don't envy, I think one's shoe size is strongly related to his/her height; if you're tall, your feet are bigger, and vice versa. After all, you don't need much support from you feet when you're hmmm... short, right?

Can't wait to wear this out!
Shall post my outfit soon~

[Outing] Ann Siang Hill- Kki cafe (ケーキ)

It's a rare day whereby Mr.C and I do not need to work (He works on weekdays and I work on weekends for now) so we tried to 'explore' Singapore a bit by randomly picked a place that we've never been before. As I remembered some nice photos posted by a friend on Facebook, we decided to go to Ann Siang Hill- a small hill (really small) near Chinatown which is now full of quirky shops and newly open 'hidden' cafes. So if you're looking for something unique such as handmade accessories, retro decorations, clothes that are different from your friends who wear mainstream labels or even drinks and pastries that are different from Starbucks, here's the place.

I didn't take a lot of photos (almost all are in the cafe that we patronized) as it's an impromptu trip thus we didn't bring along the bulky camera. All photos are taken by phone.
What I wore today::
'Tutu' one-piece (Lowrys Farm)
Denim Jacket (New Look)
Floral Shorts (MDS)
Sling Bag (Charles & Keith)
Gold Glitter Flats (MyeongDong,Korea)
Necklace (Diva)

Ann Siang Hill

The cafe that we patronized- Kki (pronounced as 'cake', literally means cake in Japanese)

Love their logo designs- black & white with little colors used to make the designs look simple yet the combinations of fonts and shapes create a childlike feel yet it's not too kiddish.

Other than serving awesome-looking cakes (which I forgot to take photos =x) and beverages , they also sell quirky items from rare coffee table books (which I want to bring home so BADLY!!) to handmade accessories to one of a kind tableware.

Me and our order- Raspberry dark chocolate mousse with Iced Latte.
Only tried out one type of cake as Mr.C is a cake hater and there's no much of choice when comes to caffeinated drinks.
Note to myself: please do something to the hair and the puffy face...

A close-up of my beloved mousse.
I can't deny that I ordered out of its look in the first place **guilty..
BUT it doesn't only look great, it tastes great as well! =D

Rich dark chocolate combined with slightly sour raspberry in the middle of the mousse to ensure you that you won't get sick of it after the first few bites =)

Iced latte- a so-so

Overall, the ambience and the cake are good for dating or for girls' outing but the lack of choice of drinks is such a pity.

Last but not least, let me show off my Hello Kitty Tissue!! hehe =P
I believe that small little things one uses will affect his/her mood in daily life so I always use some cute stuff to keep myself happy all day. Just can't imagine how I will feel if my bag is full of ugly stuff.. How about you?

[Holiday] Taipei '12 (4)

Last post on Taipei trip. All photos were taken on Day 6, it's also Christmas eve.

Started the day at zhongxiao area again (ended there also =x)!

Visited taiwan host, Xiao S's husband's bakery. Thought it was popular because of Xiao S's popularity but I was totally wrong! The breads are seriously delicious and they're sold out pretty fast. You can actually order all types of bread using the order form provided. Not only that, they also post a schedule telling you at what time certain types of breads will be ready! Can imagine how popular and fast selling the breads are now?

Shopping at SOGO, thought the cute clothes are for kids, only realised they are for pets when I had a closer look.
I am not really a pet lover but imagining a poodle dresses up as Winnie the Pooh makes me smile =)

Can't remember what we had for lunch but we went for tea break while waiting for Christmas eve dinner.. How not to be fat?? **extremely guilty now..
Reading some arty farty Japanese magazines provided in the cafe..

Baffi, an Italian restaurant where we had our Christmas eve dinner. It's just opposite Love Lovely. There's quite a few nice eating places (at least nice exretior design =x) around that area, so do explore if you can't make up your mind on what to eat; you might discover some unexpectedly nice restaurants =)

Warning:: The food serving is HUGE!
We ordered creamy soup for one but it is definitely enough for 4! Yes, it's a POT of creamy soup =S

Crispy looooooooong bread stick, served with extra virgin olive oil and balsamic vinegar. We never try this dip before, it's quite interesting. I heard it's usually served in quality Italian restaurants, I must be very suaku ='( Can any knowledgeable, kind soul enlighten me why the dip is used?

Truffled potato wedges served with tartar sauce alike. What's special is not only do they use truffle oil, they also use real truffle. Simply yummy!

I can't remember the name of this dish =x Not sure is penne zita or pennoni as it's much much bigger than normal penne. It's served with tomato sauce and chicken if not wrong =xx
The portion doesn't look large in the picture but the plate is at least 12 inch wide! Yes, like your foot-long Subway sandwich..@@

Conchiglioni (shell pasta) in creamy sauce with salmon. The pasta here are all HUGE, around 2" each!! Unlike those shell pasta (conchigliette) that we usually see in Singapore, conchiglioni is big enough to stuff  some meat inside (like Chinese dumpling?)!

Roasted whole spring chicken. Maybe because of the carbohydrate in all the pasta, we like this dish the most.

The herbs stuffed inside the chicken help to add flavor from the inside.

And we ended the dinner with TIRAMISU! It's 1 serving that we ordered BUT the size is around 6"x 6". And it's really moist and rich with alcohol!! I SWEAR IT'S OMG-DELICIOUS! I should have skipped the main dish and had this straight away! Just think of it make me salivate =x

End the post with the pictures I took in the restaurant's ladies.. hehe.. The design is simply elegant!

And they provide Aesop! And cotton pad! And dry cotton bud! And wet cotton bud! How can they be so thoughtful??

And this is what I saw on the cubicle wall! No one saw me looking at this poster but I could feel my face reddened.. hehe...But think of it, the guy is quite handsome and well-built, right?? =P
