[DIY] Adorable Dolls from every Little Thing Market

Went to Every Little Thing Market by Public Garden with Kaiyin a few weeks ago. Different from flea market at Scape, it is a 'judged' flea market, meaning that the organisers look through what you are planning to sell before approving you to join the 'league'. Public Garden gathers independent businesses and creative individuals so expect unique items that can't be found else where ;)

I got myself this adorable printed felt to make dolls::

There are a lot designs to choose from but I only got a sheet as I want to try out first and the price is quite steep... SGD14.90 for one and the size is around 30cmx20cm.
They also sell ready-made dolls that come in set, so if you like the dolls but not a fan of arts & crafts, grab them =)
The cutest little pink bunny girl ever ;)

To turn the cute felt into dolls, you'll need::
1. Printed felt (duh...)
2. Polyester fiber (I got it from Daiso)
3. Scissors
4. Needle and threads
5. Any deco you want to add on to the already-very-cute felt (I didn't use any as I was plainly lazy; you can sew gems/studs/beads/etc on them to create a more expensive sophisticated look)

Steps::
1. Cut out all the printings based on the trace lines given.
2. Sew the front and the back of the dolls together.
Important:: Don't combine the 2 felts completely before stuffing the fiber into their 'stomachs'!
3. Complete the sewing.
4. Sew the 'accessories' on the dolls based on your preference.

The idea is simple but the end product is amazingly cute, right? <3<3

[Beauty] Eyelash Extension

Went to Far East Plaza with Kaiyin and ended up doing eyelash extension.

The shop we patronized is located on the 3rd floor (the most pinkish hair/eyelash extension shop) and they advertise through Kaykay so just quote 'kaykay', you will get 5 dollars off. So instead of $50, we paid $45 each. We told them that we wanna have 'kaykay' type and they instantly knew what we wanted.. lol.. We chose #10 instead of #8 as suggested by the beautician. I guess the number is just the length of the lashes i.e. #8= 8mm; #10= 10mm and so on...

Before extension

 After Extension

Please ignore the swollen eye bag as the beautician just peeled off the tape she used to cover my eye bag in case the glue they used to 'plant' the eye lashes smear over my face. It's SUPER pain when they peel off the tape. But I think there's a very strong '我爱美不要命' spirit in me so yea.. I don't mind doing it again.. =x

It's said that it can last for 1 month but known as a clumsy girl, the extension might accompany me for 2 to 3 weeks at most =x But looking at the bright side, I don't have the habit of rubbing my eyes so hopefully it can last a biiiit longer **fingers crossed**I guess the best part of getting extension is that I do not need to wake up early to apply my eye makeup for quite some time =) And my colleagues said it looks natural so I'm quite satisfied with their service <3 I shall review it after a month to see if I wanna go back for another round of extension =P

Ends this post with an random/outdated OOTD ::
(Please pretend that you didn't see the round face and gigantic tights. TYVM.)
Floral jacket (Lowry Farm)
Leather skater skirt (MDS)
Multi-colour clutch (Aldo)
Sneakers (Converse)
Necklace (Random booth, Tampines)
Watch (Casio, Taiwan)

p/s: It's been long since I started any D.I.Y project **itchy hands**
Shall drag out all my boxes of DIY materials soon~~
Weekends, where are you? I miss you~~~

[Life] Dinner at Cocotte, Wanderlust Hotel

Went to Cocotte @ Wanderlust Hotel for dinner. It's a french restaurant. The hotel design is lovely and the food is great! =) The only part that's not so great is its location- it's near to Little India, thus very crowded and hard to find a parking space. Luckily, they provide complimentary valet service (don't get cheated by the uncle if he asked for 5 bucks service charge! it's absolutely FREE)

The reception

 A big round table that can sit at least 10. Good for gathering.

 Weekly promotion/special is shown on the board.

Wine- essential for French dinner?

The most important part in every meal- dessert!

Resting area beside the restaurant::

The meal::

Cute petite french bread

 Soup which I forgot the name

 Poulet (chicken) with creamy sauce, crispy potato and baked broccoli

Tender fish with fresh veg

Pork with very juicy meat

AND dessert!!
Citron tart

Apple Strudel

Verdict:: Great meal. Definitely worth going back =)
